Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) is composed of three levels viz. Group I, Accounting Technician (optional) and Group II. A candidate may opt for enrolment to any one of these.

Where to Obtain the prospectus/application for registration?
You can obtain the prospectus containing the registration application,if you intend to register for
Postal Coaching conducted by the Institute
- at the offices which work directly under the institute i.e. the Head Office or Regional Offices
- at the Branches of the institute which are managed by the respective professionals of a locality
Oral Coaching imparted by the centers authorised by the institute
- At the coaching center itself.
The coaching center may have an additional application (relevant to that center only), to be submitted along with the application for registration

Cost of CA IPCC/IPCE Registration Application/Prospectus
The cost of the prospectus (which contains the Application for Registering) for the CA IPCC/IPCE (Chartered Accountancy Integrated Professional Competence Course/Examination):- By Hand - Rs. 100 or $10
- By Post or courier - Rs. 125

The institute has provided applications online which you can download, print and use.You can download the Registration Applications from IPCC Registration/Re-Registration Application from the Forms Download Page of the ICAI.
Candidates using a downloaded application for registration have to have to pay the cost of the application (Rs. 100) along with the registration fee.
Where to submit the registration application?
You can submit the Registration Application,if you are registering for
Postal Coaching conducted by the institute
at the Regional office relevant to the location you specify as the address for communication (generally your place of residence)
Oral Coaching imparted by the centers authorised by the institute
at the coaching center itself.
All the applications, wherever they are submitted, would be sent to the relevant regional office/council wherein the data relating to the student is maintained.
Registration Fee - How much, How/Where to pay, Installments
The registration fee is the total fee payable to the institute and it includes the fee for registration as well as the fee for imparting coaching (generally POSTAL Coaching).
Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) is composed of three levels viz. Group I, Accounting Technician (optional) and Group II. The amount of fee payable by the candidate is dependent on the combination opted for.
Registration + Postal Coaching fee
Articled training starts only after passing Group I of IPCC or ATC. Therefore, with articles training is relevant only if the candidate includes Group II in the option.Initially at the time of Registration for the Course

The additional fee of Rs. 2,000 for Articleship registration includes Students’ Association Fee Rs. 1,000 + Registration fee as articled assistant Rs. 1,000.
Where IPCC is involved, the fee includes the Registration fee for the ORIENTATION programme and the 100 hours ITT (Information Technology Training)
Oral Coaching Fee
The fee for imparting Oral coaching is decided by the coaching center. This fee is distinct from the fee to be paid to get registered as a student for the course.The coaching center may provide the registration service for students in which case, the fee that the student would be paying at the center would be including the registration fee as well as the oral coaching fee.
The fee may vary from one coaching center to another. Please verify from the respective center.

Installment Facility
Registration can be done for Group I only at the beginning and for Group II subsequently, thereby paying the fee in parts. This facility would come at an additional cost of Rs. 4,000.- Group I + Group II Separately - Rs 13,000 (Rs. 8,000 + Rs. 5,000)
- Group I and Group II at once - Rs. 9,000
Joining an oral coaching center !!
The coaching center imparting coaching, may provide installment facilities at its own discretion.
Please verify this from the coaching center you wish to get admitted to.
Where to pay
The registration fee may be paid in the form of a D.D. or a challan as per the details provided in the registration application/prospectus and be submitted along with the application for registration.Registering through an oral coaching center
If you are registering at/through any of the centers authorised to impart ORAL coaching for the course, then the fee may be paid at that coaching center where you are getting admitted, if they provide such a facility.
Registration Fee - Exemptions/Concessions, Refund
Students who are physically handicapped
Full Fee exemption [100% of Fee] is available to Physically handicapped students who are suffering from a permanent physical disability (including blindness) which has the effect of reducing such person's capacity for normal work considerably or physically handicapped students who are suffering from more than 50% disability as per the definition of disability .
Definition Disability
(i) Blindness – “Blindness” refers to a condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions, namely: - Total absence of sight:
- Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses; or
- Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degree or worse.
(ii) Low vision – “Low vision” means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive correction but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task with appropriate assistive device. (iii) Leprosy cured – “Leprosy cured” means any person who has been cured of leprosy but is suffering form - Loss of sensation in hands or feet as well as loss of sensation and paresis in the eye and eye-lid but with no manifest deformity;
- Manifest deformity and paresis but having sufficient mobility in their hands and feet to enable them to engage in normal economic activity;
- Extreme physical deformity as well as advanced age which prevents him from undertaking any gainful occupation, and the expression “leprosy cured” shall be constructed accordingly.
(iv) Hearing impairment “Hearing impairment” means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better car in the conversational range of frequencies. (v) Locomotors disability – “Locomotors disability” means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy. (vi) Permanent and total loss of voice – a disabled student has to submit a certificate of suffering from disability, certified by a physician/surgeon/oculist working in a Government hospital, as the case may be. Disabled students, who are suffering from more than 50% disability as stated above, are eligible for full exemption from payment of registration and tuition fees at PCC/IPCC/ATC and Final levels.
Other Fees Concessions
Full Fee exemption [100% of Fee] is available to
- Children of military and para-military forces who are studying Chartered accountancy course
- Children whose either of the parents have lost their lives in action
Refund of Registration Fee
Once an application for registration is sent, no cancellation is possible. However if the applicant does not meet the minimum requirements for being registered for the course, the institutes would reject the application. Only in such cases you would receive the instrument (D.D/Challan) you have used to pay the fee back. You can cancel the instrument and get the money on it back.
Refund of fee paid is not possible under any other circumstances
Registration - Last/Cut-off dates
The candidate can appear at the first examination to be conducted 9 months after the date of registration.
Taking the minimum course duration into consideration, the following dates can be considered to be cut-off dates for registration for enabling a student to appear at the noted examination.
Students registering
- On or before January 31st can appear for one/both groups in the November Examination the same Year
Register Before To be eligible for 31st January 2011 November 2011 exam 31st January 2012 November 2012 exam - Between February 1st and June 30th can appear for one/both groups in the May Examination next Year
Register Before To be eligible for 30th June 2010 May 2011 exam 30th June 2011 May 2012 exam
Registration - Validity Period, Revalidation
Extends automatically as long as the student does not fail to appear at two consecutive attempts.
Registration will lapse immediately after 5 years if the student has failed to appear in at least one of the last two examinations conducted just before the end of five years.
Revalidation
A student whose registration gets lapsed will be eligible for re registration. Such students can re-register himself/herself by paying a revalidation fee, which at present is Rs.500/-.Application for IPCC/IPCE Re-registration can be downloaded from the ICAI web site.
Change of place of residence subsequent to registration
Only aspects relating to examinations are centralised i.e. processing examination applications, evaluation, verification of answer papers, issue of marks sheets, hall tickets, ... etc.
Even if the new place of living the student has shifted to, falls under the purview of a regional council with which he/she has got registered earlier, the student has to consider himself/herself to be on the rolls of the regional council with which he/she has got registered. All correspondence relating to the student should be made with that regional council only.
Intimate the Change in Address
To ensure the receipt of the student news letter and other correspondence from the institute properly, the student should intimate the institute regarding the change of place of living so as to get his/her address changed in the records of the institute.Students are also advised to intimate the post master of the earlier place of living, so that any mail received at that address would be redirected by the post master automatically.
Eligibility to appear at the main exam - Is registration in time enough?
Registering before the cut off date is one and not the only requirement to enable a student to appear at a particular examination.
In addition to this, a student has to complete the Compulsory Orientation Programme, before being made eligible for appearing at the examination.
The 100 hours ITT - Information Technology Training) can be completed before getting registered for the final and as such need not be considered compulsory, as far as appearing at the IPCC/IPCE is concerned.
